About Me...
My name is Pearl Hamilton. I have been a teddy bear artist for nearly 10 years. I enjoy making traditional teddy bears of short mohair and dressing them in 'little girl' dresses. Sometimes I distress the mohair and use vintage doll clothing or make their clothes of vintage fabric and sometimes I make the bears to look brand new, depends on my mood. I have been in several magazines including Teddy Bear and Friends over the years. By day, I am a social worker but I'm an artist as well, painting, embroidery, you name it. I've taken lots of art classes including from the Ontario College of Art, although I am mostly self-taught. I live in Ontario, Canada by the bay with two chihuahuas, a pug, and my husband. My four grown boys sometimes come and go as needed but are for the most part independent. I'm thrilled to have you visit me and the bears!
